Here at Hand Up for Women, we truly believe in every woman’s beautiful potential. We get to see, firsthand, the incredible strength and spirit within those who come to us, ready to find their way to a brighter future. Our 18-month program isn’t just about giving a little help; it’s about walking alongside women as they truly transform their lives – offering a Hand UP, not just a handout.
This journey of transformation covers so much: practical life skills, getting ready for a great career, finding a warm and supportive community, and creating a safe space where women can truly rediscover their worth and purpose. It’s about breaking old cycles and empowering women to become independent, confident, and wonderful contributors to our community.

The ripple effect of one woman’s transformation is simply amazing. When her life blossoms, that positive energy flows out to her family and our whole community. Children see a stronger, more stable mom. Families feel more secure. Our community becomes richer and more vibrant, full of even more kindness. We truly believe this work reflects a beautiful, higher calling, like the love and grace that can mend what’s broken and bring forth something truly new. Just as it says in Jeremiah 29:11., “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”, we’re here to lift up and offer hope where it’s needed most.

We’re so thrilled to share some wonderful news that means we’ll be able to welcome even more women into our family! Hand Up for Women recently received a special grant from the Trinity Health Foundation. This wonderful support will help us with the planning and research needed to expand our classroom space at our new Miracle Ridge property. This expansion is such a blessing, allowing us to embrace more women who are eager to begin their journey of growth and transformation with us.

This summer, we’re launching our Summer Scholarship Fund with a heartfelt goal: to raise $9,000 to cover the full tuition for one woman to join our life-changing 18-month program. Imagine that – it’s an investment in so much more than just learning; it’s an investment in a brand-new life, a stronger family, and a future filled with so much more joy.

$25 Donation: Your gift of $25 helps provide essential transportation assistance for a full month.
$55 Donation: A $55 donation covers the cost of materials for our 8-week Career-Building class.
$100 Donation: With $100, you can sponsor one woman experiencing four different assessment tools to help her learn to couple who she is with her natural skills and abilities.
$250 Donation: Your generous $250 contribution provides a scholarship for one participant to complete our crucial “Life Management Skills” module, building a strong foundation for her future, sustained by our dedicated team.
$500 Donation: A $500 donation provides a scholarship for one month of comprehensive program support for a woman, covering all aspects from direct services to essential administrative oversight.
$1,000 Donation: A gift of $1,000 provides a scholarship for two months of comprehensive program support for a woman on her journey to self-sufficiency, covering all aspects from direct services to essential administrative oversight.
